The Physical Science students of Grade 10, 11 and 12 had the opportunity to experience some “real life Science” when they visited the Cape Town Science Centre on Monday.

A harp without strings – but the music is so sweet –
A ball that drifts in the air
Mirrors of all shapes and sizes which reflect the strangest images
An interesting kaleidoscope where you find yourself in the middle of the picture.

These are only a few of the interesting displays our students were able to experience.  A few brave souls tried out the giant gyroscope, whilst others laid down on the bed of nails!

The workshop on Ohms Law gave the students a hands-on exercise in electricity and “Prof” let us duck and dive with all the explosions he set off.
