Every now and again Silvermine Music Academy has the opportunity to celebrate the success of past pupils and staff. Those of you who have been watching “The Voice” will have seen former guitar teacher, Jeremy Olivier, performing his way to the final rounds of the TV competition.

Jeremy joined the Academy when it first began in 2001 and was one of its founding members, but his journey with us began years before that, when he sought guitar lessons from our Jazz expert, Nicholas Carter, in preparation for his formal studies in Jazz Performance. He taught with us for many years, leaving a legacy of positive influence and musical expertise, factors that remain fundamental to the ethos of Silvermine Music Academy.

Since then Jeremy has become a well respected artist in the South Peninsula, and an inspiration to many in the Noordhoek Valley, and now, across South Africa.

We wish him every success in the last rounds of “The Voice” and for the continuation of his musical career.
