We had the privilege of having Christa Stringer visit our Grade 2s last week. Christa works for Table Mountain National Park. She visited each class to teach our children about the ocean and the importance of caring for our environment.
Christa had so many treasures to show the children. Our boys and girls absolutely loved seeing a starfish and a whale shark’s fin under the microscope. They also got to look at, and feel, a False Killer Whale’s jaw.
This term has been so much fun as we have discovered tons about our sea life, and the cause and effect of not having looked after our planet. Our Grade Two boys and girls are determined to make a difference in our environment.
We would like to thank Christa for sharing her passion for what she does, and for spending the day with us. We absolutely loved it.
