Last week the Grade 11 Mathematics students started Completing the Square for quadratic expressions. Basically we are trying to convert a trinomial (an expression with three terms) into a perfect square binomial (an expression with two terms).

The Grade 11’s have been finding this concept quite tricky and they’ve realised it involves a lot of hard work and concentration. This concept is, however very important as it links itself to Functions (specifically Parabolas) which we do later on in the year.

We have been practicing many examples in class together and it seems the class is getting it. Keep up the hard work!
