Last week, the Grade 3’s had the opportunity to split into their different pace groups and experience a different teacher’s teaching style. The children were moved into ability groups to learn a new Mathematical concept of addition in problem solving.

All were excited, as they got to mingle with their friends from different classes, while learning at a pace that suited them. The pace groups allowed the children to experience success without feeling held back or rushed. In this way, the teachers were able to impart the necessary skills.

By working through story sums, we can make Maths come alive through real life situations.
