In Grade 10 and Grade 11 Physical Sciences we are learning about chemical bonds. To better understand what happens between the different particles or molecules bonded together, it helps to know what the shapes of these molecules are. What the molecules look like.

These shapes can be quite complicated and difficult to visualize three-dimensionally. A hands-on approach often helps students with their understanding and to remember the new concepts they are learning. To help students “see” the shapes of the molecules that they often encounter, they built three-dimensional models of these molecules.
