This past week the Grade 4 children took part in their community service project for the term, WASHING the Fish Hoek Police Stations vehicles. The excitement in the Grade 4 passage was REAL in the anticipation of the fun they were about to have.

Even though not as many vehicles arrived as were expected and the weather didn’t play its part, the children threw themselves into the task. Team work was the order of the day as all classes combined to make the Police cars sparkle.

The police officers enjoyed tea and coffee and numerous sweet treats while their vehicles were put through their paces. The children were then treated to a talk by Warrant Officer Middleton, who opened the imaginations of all who could hear.

This was a great experience for all the children and they absolutely loved being able to get up close to real policeman and police cars. The Grade 4’s would like to thank all the officers who took time out of their day to give the children an experience they won’t soon forget.
