This week the Grade 4s got the opportunity to watch a rendition of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory performed by actors from the National Theatre.

Our school hall was transformed into Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory where each learner pushed their imaginations to the limit and tapped into their inner creativity.

The Grade 4’s had so much fun interacting with the very talented cast members who put on a spectacular show. A select few leaners got the opportunity to take part in the play and excelled, showcasing remarkable confidence and acting ability.

Some of the Grade 4s were asked how they found the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Play.

Zjonne: I found the new version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory very interesting.

Josh B:  I loved all the crazy dancing and found the actors really funny!

Akhanyile: I had fun acting on stage in front of all my friends. I have never enjoyed acting so much!

Kiki: The play was really funny to watch. Even though I was nervous to be up on stage I loved every minute of it.

Danushka: The play was awesome, I loved it when Violet was acting crazy and turned into a blueberry.

The Grade 4s had an absolute blast tapping into their creative side, we can’t wait to see what next year brings!
