Have you ever wondered as you look out your window what the chances are that it is going to rain that day? Or what is the possibility of me winning the Lotto? These questions and more can be theoretically answered through the study of Probability.

Our Grade 11’s are busy working through this section at the moment in Mathematics. In this particular lesson they were investigating how one event will influence the probability of another event taking place. For example flipping a coin and tossing a die. They found that if the one event didn’t have an effect on the other event, they were said to be Dependent Events.
