“All empires fall, eventually. It is the way of things” -Erin Morgenstern

The Grade 10’s tackled their first lesson of  History with great gusto. Our focus for the next few lessons will be on the rise and fall of The Ming Dynasty – first established under Emperor Hongwu.

The students are fascinated by the power the Emperor and the dynasty itself held, of course under autocratic rule. Hongwu was a paranoid ruler, who was convinced his officials were continually plotting against him.

Through close source analysis, this trio of historians are uncovering the achievements of the Ming dynasty, and its eventual collapse.

What a fantastic, focused start to the year ahead!
