This year Sun Valley launched the Powerful Presentation Competition which focuses on the art of Keynote. Being a digital school, we utilized the iPads in class and set about to create presentations that showcased the topic that we were most passionate about. The competition was aimed at the InterSen Phase and challenged our Grade 4s to really put in the extra effort to compete against the older grades.

Term 3 started off with a bang as the Grade 4s set about designing and creating eye-catching and powerful Keynote presentations in class. The first round of the competition took place in the classes as the students inspired their classmates with tales of adventures and challenged them to think about their impact on the environment. The top three from each class then went head to head in the Semi-Finals in front of the whole grade.

The finalists from Grade 4 were Georgia van der Berg, Connor Fourie, Lotte Schonck, and Joshua Pond. Their passion and dedication was evident in the way that they presented their Keynotes to their peers. Georgia showed us that GRIT is the way to go if you want to become a successful author. Connor provided us with insight into the interesting world of Pigeon Racing. Lotte took us on an enticing adventure, while Joshua challenged us to think more about the mysterious deep blue sea.

We are so proud of all of our Grade 4s for their hard work and beautiful presentations! Well done!
