It has bean a fun, productive week in class!

One of our themes this term is the ground and what goes on beneath it. The Grade 2s have just learnt about soil and its various layers.

They got their hands dirty, exploring different soils and planting their very own beans in their cooperative groups.

Each learner got a container filled with either sand or soil, depending on their group role at their table. They then received different labels, telling them what their bean needs. Each learner will be exposing their containers to various conditions over the next few weeks. This experiment will allow them to see what a bean needs, in order for it to grow successfully.

Which beans will sprout into action? Watch this space to find out!
