Even though it is the last term, there is no relaxing in the Silvermine laboratory. The Grade 10 Physical Sciences and Life Sciences students have been especially busy.

In Physical Sciences, we started the term by discussing the difference between vectors and scalars. We then focused on vectors such as displacement, velocity and acceleration.

Recently we investigated the acceleration of a trolley rolling down an incline. We measured the effect that different inclines have on acceleration.

The Grade 10 Life Sciences students have been studying the History of life on Earth. We first discussed the formation of our planet, and how it changed to the green and blue dot we all call home. The students did poster presentations on the timeline of the long history of the earth, with each group focusing on a different event.
