Term 3 is underway and the classrooms are once again filled with laughter and learning. The children have quickly adjusted to the “new normal”. They are keen to learn and are filled with enthusiasm, reiterating the fact that children are adaptable and positive little people!

This term we follow the theme of Dr Seuss’ The Lorax. The story encourages wonderful discussions about looking after our precious environment and all the things that we can do to conserve it.  Our theme will lead us to learn about plants and their parts and cycles, further encouraging children’s inherent respect and love for nature.

The celebration of Spring Day on 1st and 2nd September came at a perfect time in light of our Term 3 theme. After a season of cold and Covid-19, we are all ready to start afresh! The Grade Ones celebrated longer days, sunshine and new beginnings by wearing beautiful flowers and colours to school.

The third term is a busy one and we have hit the ground running. Seeing the children’s smiling faces each morning, hearing their stories and watching them progress both personally and academically is a joy and privilege.

As Robin Williams said, “Spring is nature’s way of saying, ‘Let’s Party!’”

So, let’s party!
