Easter Eggs for Everyone!

The Grade Two’s collected Easter eggs this term as their outreach. There were many Easter eggs so kindly donated that it became difficult to resist eating them as they were stored in our classrooms. What fun it was seeing the faces of the two ladies from Fish Hoek Lions Club when they saw ALL the Easter eggs we had collected![Read More…]

Pupils post their blog to USA epals

Our first postings to our USA epals have gone off. The learners were so excited and couldn’t wait for the epals to reply back. We had to wait a whole day for the responses, because of the time difference. Just to see the reactions on their faces as they read their own epal’s replies was warming. There were loads of[Read More…]

The Evolution of a Logo

The Evolution of a Logo

Coca Cola Did you know the Coke logo has remained virtually unchanged since it was first designed in the early 1900s?  The distinctive font, Spencerian Script was chosen because it was popular in America at the time.  The flowing nature of the font, coupled with the alliterative ‘c’-sound in the product’s name, gives Coca Cola a warm, friendly feeling. Pepsi[Read More…]

U13 Hockey Girls Arrive at Lake Brenton

After a long , hot drive to Knysna, our girls have finally arrived at Lake Brenton. The accommodation is superb and the facilities are outstanding. Trampoline, Table Tennis and Pool are a few of the many activities with which the girls will keep themselves busy. Yet for some reason I think “chatting” will be higher on their list of priorities.[Read More…]
