The Influence of Propaganda

Propaganda plays a big role in the way we view things around us. Whether we are discussing politics, global warming or just the latest trend, we are somehow influenced by what we see and hear in the media. In Social Science, we have been discussing how young men were influenced, by posters and music, to go and fight for their[Read More…]

In Social Science over the past 2 weeks the Grade 9s have worked on planning and presenting a formal class debate. Look Up!

Look Up!

The Grade 8 and 9s have been busy this term with the challenging topics of Colonialism and Apartheid respectively. I’m extremely proud of their visual representations of these topics on our classroom ceiling. Not only did they create these clever visuals, they have also started to master the tricky ‘History Discursive Essay’ and enjoyed a lively debate on these topics.

On Thursday the 19th of March 2015, the Grade 9’s embarked on a Metro Rail Train ride to Cape Town.
