SVPS: Library – Reading and Me

When asked if learners thought that they are good readers, one learner summed it up concisely:

“I am a good reader because I can say a word when I see it.” – Caelan Wilby, Grade 4

Reading is fun and another joy of reading is sharing what you have read with others. When the learners started sharing their reading experiences their faces lit up.

There was a buzz in their voices and the immediate sense of relaxation was evident. Their listening ears and attentive gazes made the one sharing enter another realm of power similar to having the world at your fingertips … just more in the sense of having “ears attentive to the intrigue of your reading experience.”
