After almost a year of big changes and having to adapt to things we never dreamed could be possible, the Grade Ones have once again showed us how  resilient and gritty they really are.

They have graciously adapted to many “new normals”, from not attending school and learning from home, to being back at school full-time with their classmates, masks and screens between them, and all that came in between. They have accepted all of these changes, and not once has their enthusiasm dwindled.

The positive attitude of these small children has been an inspiration. The joy on their faces when they saw all of their classmates together for the first time since March was beautiful; the excitement in the air was tangible.

Now that we are back everyday, school sport has resumed and Summer is almost here, this might be the best “new normal” yet.

Things really are better when we’re together. Our classes are our “other families”, and we are loving having these families in their classrooms again, where they belong!
